The annual weeklong speedrunning marathon for charity, Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ), kicks off on Sunday, May 28th. The event will be held virtually and will feature hundreds of speedrunners competing to see who can beat video games the fastest.
This year’s event will benefit Doctors Without Borders, a medical humanitarian organization that provides emergency medical aid to people in need. SGDQ has raised over $29 million for charity since its inception in 2010.
The event will be streamed live on Twitch, and viewers can donate to charity during the event. There will also be a live chat where viewers can interact with the speedrunners and other viewers.
